What is i-heal?

i-heal 2.0 is Healogics wound care specific Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform utilized across the nation to capture, guide, and evaluate the clinical operational and financial performance of our Wound Care Centers®.

Why is it important to have a wound care specific platform?

Wound Care Centers depend on the consistent application of evidence-based medicine to heal chronic wounds. Healogics developed i-heal 2.0 to meet this need. This robust application is designed to integrate leading edge wound science into the Wound Care Center workflows in order to help advance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Tailoring the system to the specific needs of its Wound Care Centers, Healogics created a powerful tool to support clinical decision making, simplifying the documentation process, and reinforcing the use of evidence based medicine. i-heal 2.0 EMR supports accurate documentation and Healogics revenue cycle management practices, hospital connectivity and integration, and detailed analytics and reporting. By integrating the proven science of wound healing with 20 years of operational and financial best practices from Healogics and its affiliates, i-heal 2.0 EMR is designed to strengthen the outcomes of Wound Care Centers across the nation.

Costs and Limitations

  • This certified product-version requires an ongoing annual fee for each Wound Care Center® location for Stage 2 exchange of secure messages and medical record files via a Direct account with third-party vendor, Secure Exchange Solutions (170.314.b.1 and 170.314.b.2). SES is currently the only vendor compatible with the Healogics solutions.
  • This certified product-version requires an ongoing annual fee for each Wound Care Center® location for Stage 2 exchange of secure messages and medical record files via a Direct account with third-party vendor, Secure Exchange Solutions (170.314.b.1 and 170.314.b.2). SES is currently the only vendor compatible with the Healogics solutions.
  • This certified product-version requires a one-time cost for an extract of patient summaries, if elected for use by clients (170.314.b.7). The extract of patient summaries consists of patient CDA clinical summaries documents.
  • This certified product-version requires an ongoing annual fee to electronically prescribe controlled substances (EPCS), if elected for use by clients, via an account with third-party vendor, DrFirst (170.314.b.3).
  • This certified product-version requires an ongoing annual fee to interface with the State registries, if elected for use by clients. i-heal offers an alternative to the interface at no charge, and the reports are available on demand within a return of 24 hours (170.314.f.2 and 170.314.f.3)
  • This certified product-version requires a one-time cost for an extract of patient summaries, if elected for use by clients (170.314.b.7). The paid extract of patient summaries consists of pdf files for each patient encounter.
  • The Meaningful Use Grid Report is updated weekly, due to the volume of data; request for more frequent delivery can be accommodated (170.314.g.1 and 170.314.g.2). The MU Grid summarizes the progress of each provider towards meeting the MU Measures.
  • This certified product-version requires an ongoing annual fee to interface with the State registries, if elected for use by clients. Accelechart offers an alternative to the interface at no charge, and the reports are available on demand within a return of 24 hours (170.314.f.2 and 170.314.f.3).
