What is the greatest reward of working at Healogics?

To watch wounds heal – that may sound a little cliche, but when you have patients who have struggled with wounds sometimes for years, start their care – begin to find joy and hope as the wound becomes smaller, while building trust that the ultimate goal of healing is within reach.

How would you describe the relationships formed with patients and families and the impact of your work?

The relationships are long lasting. We are a small community; after patients have healed I will see them at the local Wal-Mart. They are quick to give me medical and family updates. Our time of visiting often ends with a hug and "I miss you." With tongue in cheek I remind them that I love to catch up but let's keep our visiting at Wal-Mart.

What are you most proud of in your work?

The solid team we have built to provide quality patient care. There is no line between nurses and physicians — they work together to heal patients in a timely manner, support each other with difficult patients and celebrate with each other when difficult patients have healed.

We're passionate about healing wounds and changing lives every day.

We train clinicians to provide the best tools and solutions for treating non-healing wounds.

There's great fulfillment in helping patients with chronic wounds.
