HEALOGICS LAUNCHES NATIONAL EFFORT TO SUPPORT AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION
Jacksonville, Fla. (May 20, 2015) –
Healogics is proud to announce that it has teamed up with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as a National Team Sponsor. As two leaders in diabetes care, this partnership will bolster our commitment to patient care.
Healogics will participate in several fundraisers nation-wide to benefit the ADA and help improve the quality of life for people with diabetes. Some of these fundraisers include the Tour de Cure®
cycling event and the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes
. Healogics and their hospital partners treat chronic, non-healing wounds in 46 states, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom with advanced care techniques and technology provided by clinical staff with specialty training. A large portion of Healogics patients include those affected by diabetes, which can cause diabetic foot ulcers and other chronic wounds. Nearly two million diabetic foot ulcers occur each year, and can lead to amputation is left untreated. By supporting the ADA with a fundraising goal of $200,000, Healogics continues to help as many patients as possible by the best means available.
