Michael E. Smith, MD, CPE, FACS, joins the Center for Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Jeanes Hospital® as Medical Director
Philadelphia, Pa. (December 9, 2014) – Michael E. Smith, MD, CPE, FACS, has joined Healogics, Inc. as the Medical Director at the Center for Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Jeanes Hospital®.
Dr. Smith will lead a team of wound care specialists at the Center, which offers leading-edge treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies, bioengineered tissues, and biosynthetics to reintroduce the body's innate ability to heal.
Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. He also completed his Residency and two Fellowships at the University of California – Davis.
In joining the Center for Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Jeanes Hospital®, a member of the Healogics™ network, Dr. Smith will collaborate with a network of academic medical centers, hospitals and thousands of professionals committed to advancing wound healing by creating, sharing, and activating wound prevention and care expertise.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, American Association for Surgery of Trauma, Eastern Association for Surgery of Trauma, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is board certified in Surgery.
