Dr. Mark Gloth, President & Chief Medical Officer, HSP and Head of Physician Development, is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of leadership experience as a physician executive, managing healthcare industry functions to optimize operations and foster superior service delivery. Dr. Gloth leads our Healogics Specialty Physicians division, as well as our physician development efforts across the organization. He is a strong advocate in our efforts to fulfill our commitment to use research to advance our understanding of wound care.
Dr. Gloth has served as Chief Medical Officer of Gilchrist, a nationally recognized leader in geriatric, palliative, and hospice care. Before joining Gilchrist, Dr. Gloth spent 17 years at ProMedica Senior Care (formerly HCR ManorCare/Heartland), where he provided national medical leadership and medical practice management for the company’s skilled nursing, hospice, palliative care, wound care, home care, dementia/memory care and assisted living operations. Prior to his tenure at HCR ManorCare, he was the Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Union Memorial Hospital, a Regional Medical Director for National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C., and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medical and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Gloth is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and physiatry at Johns Hopkins University and Sinai Hospital. In addition, he completed a fellowship in geriatric rehabilitation at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a research fellowship at the National Institute of Aging and Gerontology Research Center.
